Profound coffee is the name of an unreleased CD by my almost university band named sloth. Lured by fame and fortune we thought it would be a fantastic idea to have a band and conquer the world. Except besides myself on guitar, none of the other conscripts could play musical instruments or sing. So the closest we got to a band was a name, one song, and a damn good CD cover (at least we thought so at the time).
The cover for the CD was going to feature a fridge with fridge magnets spelling out Profound Coffee. The inside cover was going to feature a huge parrot with a little pirate on his shoulder. The caption was going to say "Argh! Tis a parrot from the Caribbean!"
Well, we never did form the band, have rehearsals, gigs, records deals, groupies or achieve world domination. But we had a damn good time coming up with the concepts. And that's part of what profound coffee is all about. Its all the pseudo philosophical nonsense you come up with over a good cup of coffee.
Good evening, good night!
